The American Forge & Foundry 50-Ton Heavy-Duty Bottle Jack (3550) is a professional-grade hydraulic lifting tool designed for the most demanding applications. Built for stability and power, this jack is an essential asset for heavy truck, automotive, and heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Its engineering focus on high capacity, robust materials, and safety features ensures reliable performance across various industrial, construction, marine, and agricultural environments. The 3550 model is crafted to provide long-lasting service, making it a valuable addition to any professional toolkit where significant lifting capabilities are required.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:50-Ton Lifting Capacity: Provides immense power to handle extremely heavy loads, making it suitable for large vehicles, machinery, and structural components.Heat-Treated Critical Stress Areas: Components in key stress zones are heat-treated to extend the jack’s lifespan and maintain consistent performance under heavy use.Built-in Bypass System: Enhances operator safety by preventing accidental overloading, ensuring the jack operates within its rated capacity.Drop-Forged Alloy Steel Construction: Offers reliable strength and structural integrity, allowing the jack to withstand rigorous professional use.Machine-Hardened Steel Saddle: Provides a secure and stable contact point with the load, minimizing slippage and ensuring safe lifting.Centered Pumps and Rams: Designed for optimal balance and easy positioning under a load, improving operational efficiency.Extended Wear Life: Achieved through internally machined oil passages, smooth bearing surfaces, and tighter tolerances, reducing wear and tear on internal components.SPECIFICATIONS:Capacity: 50 Tons (100,000 lbs)Low Height: 11.75 inchesHigh Height: 19.75 inchesLift: 7 inchesSaddle Diameter: 3.27 inchesBase Length: 7 inchesBase Width: 8.5 inchesHandle Length: 31.5 inchesNumber of Handle Pieces: 2Operation: Manual, HydraulicType: Bottle JackWeight: 73 lbsDuty Level: Heavy DutyStandards: ASME PALD 2009HOW TO USE:Prepare the Work Area: Ensure the ground is firm, level, and capable of supporting the weight of the jack and the load. Chock any wheels if working on a vehicle.Position the Jack: Place the bottle jack directly under the lifting point of the object, ensuring the saddle is centered and securely in contact with a solid, structural part.Assemble the Handle: Insert the two pieces of the handle together and then into the pump sleeve.Pump to Lift: Close the release valve firmly by turning it clockwise. Pump the handle up and down steadily to raise the saddle and lift the load to the desired height.Secure the Load: Once the load is lifted, immediately place appropriate jack stands or other suitable support devices under the object before working underneath it. Never rely solely on the jack to hold the load.Lower the Load: To lower the load, ensure the area is clear. Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to allow the hydraulic fluid to release, gently lowering the load. Once fully lowered, remove the jack.Store the Jack: After use, clean the jack and store it in a dry, safe place with the ram fully retracted to protect the seals.BENEFITS OF USING AMERICAN FORGE & FOUNDRY 50-TON HEAVY-DUTY BOTTLE JACK (3550):Provides robust lifting capability for extremely heavy objects, enhancing productivity in demanding work environments.Offers a safer lifting solution with integrated overload protection, safeguarding both equipment and personnel.Supports a wide array of heavy-duty applications from vehicle maintenance to structural adjustments, increasing its utility.Engineered for longevity, reducing the need for frequent replacements and lowering long-term operational costs.Allows for precise positioning of heavy loads due to its balanced design and strong contact saddle.FEATURES:50-Ton capacity (100,000 lbs) for substantial lifting.Designed for use in heavy trucks, automotive, and heavy equipment maintenance.Capable of both horizontal and vertical operation.Pre-tested to 150% of rated capacity for quality assurance.Adheres to ASME PALD 2009 safety standards.Compact base dimensions (8.5″ x 7″) for stability.Two-piece handle for convenient storage and transport.Professional-grade “Heavy Duty” classification.Manual hydraulic operation provides controlled lifting.High lift range from 11.75″ to 19.75″.
