Any heavy tar or grease should be removed with a dedicated cleaner before using the pad.Pad Conditioning (First Use): Before its first use on paint, moisten the pad and a clean glass surface (like a window). Rub the pad in a circular motion on the glass for 30 to 60 seconds. You may observe a white, soapy foam; this is the protective coating being removed. Do not use the pad on paint until the rubber polymer surface feels soft and slightly tacky to the touch.Lubrication: Always use a generous amount of dedicated clay lubricant. Do NOT use plain water as a lubricant, as it will not provide adequate glide and could cause marring.
